Museums of the Foundation

a) Pink House which was bought by İsmet İnönü as an orchard house in Çankaya in 1924 continues its existence as a living museum. The interior design of Pink House is preserved as it is. And in the house conferences and exhibitions are organized. Pink House is open to visit to the students and public in October and April.

4580 square meters land opposite the Pink House was donated to Ankara Municipality. The municipality gave this land the name “İnönü Parkı” and 4.5 meters tall and 3 tons İnönü statue which was sculptured by the sculptor Mine Sunar was erected in the park. And 3470 square meters woodland next to Pink House was donated to the municipality on condition that an open-air museum would be constructed. A small amphitheater and the statue of Mevhibe and İsmet İnönü were placed in here.

b) İsmet İnönü’s house which was bought in 1934 in İstanbul, Heybeliada is open to visit except Mondays. Also, collective events with Adalar Foundation are arranged.

c) The house in İzmir in which İsmet İnönü was born in 1884 was donated to İnönü Foundation by the full general Ali Fuat Erden’s daughter Ayla Ökmen. The house is renewed and open to visit 3 days a week. Exhibitions are occasionally held as well.
