A father concerned with the education of his children
A dedicated family man and father, İnönü spent his free time with his children and took particular interest in their studies.
İnönü made the following entry in his journal on April 15, 1942: “Ömer did not do well on the analytical examination; we were quite sorry.”
İnönü paid special attention to have his children earn their success under fair conditions along with everyone else. Unlike others, he was not the kind of statesmen to interfere when the children did not do well at school. He closely followed their grades and academic progress and advised them to work harder to overcome weaker subjects.
