April 23rd is proclaimed as Children’s Festival

April 23, 1929 Children’s Festival is our most charming holiday. The happiness it brings will only multiply if children enjoy that day. Let us work and try hard this week to have our children take pleasure in this day.

Prime Minister İnönü made the aforementioned entry in his journal after April 23rd was proclaimed Children’s Festival. The times he spent with children were, in fact, when the serious demeanor of the Pasha was truly softened.
