Celal Bayar resigns from deputyship

İzmir Deputy Celal Bayar resigned from his post on September 28, 1945 and, on December 3rd, left CHP, of which he was a co-founder. Invited to Çankaya by President İnönü the next day, Bayar discussed the details of the new party he was planning to form. According to the news, the President kept Celal Bayar for dinner and complimented him. In the ensuing days, Bayar initiated the founding of the Democrat Party.
